UX Lead, Accenture @ Google
2016 - present
I work for Accenture Digital on the Google account. In 2 years, I've performed 3 roles: UX Manager, UX Unicorn, and UX Research Leadership. Day-to-day, I manage all aspects of research and design from start to finish - defining the product, conducting generative research to understand the users, creating low-fidelity wireframes, and measuring progress along the way with evaluative research methods, like Usability Testing. The most exciting part of my job is developing a framework to baseline user satisfaction for a 100s of products.
Senior User Researcher, Perficient Digital Agency
2011 - present
I worked for the Digital Agency within Perficient, the IT Consulting Firm. In 5 years with the agency, I primarily acted as UX Researcher, Product Owner, and Business Analyst for B2B and B2C digital solutions. I’m comfortable translating business expectations into design and technical requirements for projects valued at $.5 million+. I’m a champion of user-centered design principles. Day-to-day, I elicited requirements, ran applied research studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Personality
-
I'm creative but still organized.
-
For working in the technology, I'm surprisingly tactile. I adore notecards, white boards, legal pads, and real printed books.
-
I'm an "ENFP" Myers-Briggs personality type.
-
My top 3 strengths according to the Gallup test are: Woo, Input, and Communication.
-
Taking initiative is easy for me. I'm always the one making introductions and coordinating.
-
I ask for feedback and critique often.
Time Management
-
I typically manage my time with the Pomodoro Technique.
-
All my emails go to 1 of 2 folders: "Action" or "Read/Review." Most days, my inbox goes down to zero.
-
If I plan a meeting, I lead it in a very detailed and rigorous manner. If I'm invited to a meeting, I always find out what is expected of me and how to prepare.
-
Physically, I stand up a lot and prefer to change locations frequently. It increases my focus.
